Description
Plucked in India's lush Assam region, it is perfect for those who like a tea with expression. The leaves, of exceptional quality, produce a bright ruby red brew and a chatty flavor. Long, dark and handsome.
This black tea comes from the Assam region of India where the climate is very humid
and warm, like a natural greenhouse. This contributes to the unique malt flavor that Assam tea is known for.
Black tea is fully oxidized. This means that the oxidation process must stop by itself. After oxidation, the tea is dried. It is oxidation that turns the tea leaves dark. Black tea has a strong, often earthy flavor and is the most common type drunk in the Western world. Most people prefer to drink black tea with milk, but high quality teas such as Assam, Keemun and Darjeeling are also lovely on their own.

It is important that the tea is stored protected from air and light. That's why we sell all our teas packed in tight aluminum ziplock bags. You can buy sealed boxes for storage here.
We are proud to be the largest Norwegian brand importer of organic tea. To be approved by Debio and use the definition Organic, not only must the ingredients be certified organic, but our own facility must also be certified by Debio (Norwegian authority) and controlled by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. In addition to import controls from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, we go beyond the requirements by also taking random samples of pesticides and other pollutants.
An organic product is produced in a way that takes the environment into account by not using chemical and synthetic pesticides. It's good for the planet, but also for the tea, the farmer and you. By buying organic teas, you support healthy and long-term tea production. Our teas are certified organic by Debio Norge. NO-ØKO-01
