Description

In Japan, this is the most popular type of tea. Production is perfected to preserve nutrients and the green color of the tea leaves. An elegant and sweet vegetable taste.

Sencha is in full sunlight during cultivation and therefore has a high content of catechins. You can read about why it is good here:
Tea and its health effects

Sencha is more vegetal in taste than traditional Chinese green tea and a cup of sencha contains more nutrients. Sencha can be harvested four times during the year, but the quality decreases each time. The best quality is obtained from the first harvest of the year, because then the plant has stood for a whole winter and gained good properties from the soil.

This sencha is classified as Sencha Superior and is from the first harvest of the year (Ichiban Cha) in Kyoto, Japan.

The leaves can be brewed several times.

Pairs well with

Organic green tea

It is important that the tea is stored protected from air and light. That's why we sell all our teas packed in tight aluminum ziplock bags. You can buy sealed boxes for storage here.

We are proud to be the largest Norwegian brand importer of organic tea. To be approved by Debio and use the definition Organic, not only must the ingredients be certified organic, but our own facility must also be certified by Debio (Norwegian authority) and controlled by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. In addition to import controls from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, we go beyond the requirements by also taking random samples of pesticides and other pollutants.

An organic product is produced in a way that takes the environment into account by not using chemical and synthetic pesticides. It's good for the planet, but also for the tea, the farmer and you. By buying organic teas, you support healthy and long-term tea production. Our teas are certified organic by Debio Norge. NO-ØKO-01
