About the IOSS Fee

Starting July 1st 2021, the European Union (EU) ended the low-value consignment relief for shipments equal to or less than €22 for goods shipped to the EU from outside the EU. Nortea is registered in the Import-One-Stop-Shop (IOSS) and will collect, declare, and pay the VAT to the tax authorities for distance sales of imported goods with a value not exceeding €150. This is collected when you place your order with iHerb and customers in the EU do not not have to pay this twice or be asked to pay it again prior to or upon order delivery.

What to do if asked to pay it again

If you are being asked to pay this fee in order to receive your order, inform our shipping partners that you have already paid this fee already during the ordering process. However, if they insist you pay it again, please comply, ask for documentation from them to show you have paid it again, and then contact us with the receipt of payment. We will gladly refund you for any duplicate IOSS fees paid. 

We are working with our shipping partners to increase their training regarding IOSS fees and collection. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

 

Security and payment
We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer), which is a security protocol for the secure transmission of data over the Internet (and other networks).

The SSL protocol creates an encrypted channel between sender and receiver, and the encryption ensures that no one can manipulate the information sent between the two (Message Integrity).

The SSL protocol uses digital certificates to control the sender and/or receiver of the data transfer (server authentication).

The payment itself is made on another server which is also PCI certified. It is a strict certification that VISA and MasterCard require of anyone who collects bank card information.

Right of return
You have the right of return for 14 days according to applicable laws and regulations. The only condition is that the item is returned to us in its original condition. The product must be returned within 14 days from the time you gave us information that you want to cancel your purchase. Original packaging and any labels must be attached to the return. If you have received a wrong or defective product, we will of course cover the return costs. Opened tea bags cannot be returned.

 

Shipping
Free shipping on all orders over €99. We mainly send by UPS, but feel free to contact us for other shipping options. We also offer other delivery methods for a shipping fee. 

We ship using IOSS mainly within EU. That means we collect the VAT from you and pay it forward to your country for you. If the order amount is above the IOSS limit or you order from outside the EU we will use UPS to handle the VAT and tax clearance. 

We try to get your package shipped as quickly as possible. It usually takes 1-2 working days for us to send out the package, if all the goods are ready in the warehouse, then the rest of the days it takes to deliver the package to you is depending on UPS or the shipping company. During high season and at high load, we may have a slightly longer delivery time. When your order is shipped from us, you will receive a delivery confirmation emailed to you. If you have not received this within 4 working days, please contact us.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the address you provide is correct.  You are responsible for shipping + an administration fee of €5 if the package is returned due to an unknown address or is not picked up at collection point.
