Every year, over 12,000 entries are submitted from all over the world, all of which are tasted and judged by experts.
The Great Taste Awards is one of the world's most prestigious food and drink competitions, organised by the Guild of Fine Food in the UK. This annual competition was launched in 1994 and aims to identify the best food and drink products through a blind tasting process. The products are assessed by a large panel of judges including chefs, retailers, food critics and other industry experts.
Judges taste the products without knowing the manufacturer or brand, and rate them based solely on taste, texture and quality. Products can be awarded one, two or three gold stars, with three stars being the highest award and indicating that the product is considered exceptional. The Great Taste Awards are often seen as a guarantee of quality, and many manufacturers use the stars as part of their marketing to build credibility and recognition among customers.
