How is black vanilla tea produced?
Vanilla is the fruit of a Mexican orchid, and through a fermentation process the fruit changes color and aroma. Therefore, vanilla is an excellent addition to black tea, which complements each other very well. Most vanilla teas consist of black tea and pieces of vanilla.
Tea with vanilla
In addition to vanilla tea, you can find other types of tea with vanilla. Oolong, for example, is a good starting point for the flavor profile of vanilla. Oolong is semi-oxidized which gives it a complex flavor, while the spices in chai work very well in combination with vanilla. Ginger, cardamom and cinnamon add a warm and spicy touch to the vanilla.
